Shave 4 Xave
June 21, 2023
SO, SO, SO PROUD........ of all our amazing players, members, families and friends!!!
Our Goal-a-Thon, along with raffles and a BBQ was held in June to help raise money for Shave for Xave.
We work really hard to make sure players are part of not just their team but their club and the wider community. The Shave for Xave fundraising support and enthusiasm from everyone proves how connected members really are. Thank you, Thank you, thank you!!!
Xave is the son of one of our inaugural sponsors and is currently fighting neuroblastoma. When coaches shared with their teams the tragic story of Xave, players were genuinely sad, caring and keen to help.
Our players and families got behind our fundraising efforts and have raised an amazing $6967.07 +more with the goal-a-thon, raffles and BBQ held recently in pouring rain and very cold conditions.
Well done everyone!!!
Thanks to all our BBQ and raffle volunteers, Olivia Savvas MP who helped on the night and everyone who took part.
We wish Xave all the best with his treatment!!!!!
You can follow his story and support the family through their Facebook page, Shave for Xave or make a donation on Xavier’s Rare Cancers Australia page.
